Jakarta Foreign Tourists Arrivals Continue Positive Trend in April 2022

Abstract

As one of the sectors most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, the tourism sector is slowly rising. It can be seen from the number of foreign tourists arrival Jakarta in April 2022, which has continued the positive trend since the beginning of 2022. The total number of foreign tourists visiting Jakarta in April 2022 recorded at 36,061 arrivals , and this figure increased by 54.6 percent compared to the previous month. The granting of visit visa exemption and visa on arrival (VoA) for Leisure purposes since early April 2022 has received a positive response to the number of foreign tourist arrivals. Based on nationality, the five highest foreign tourist arrivals in April 2022 came from countries in the ASIA region, including; China, Malaysia, Singapore, India, and South Korea.
